Hi!

My name is Amara Neal

I am an actress, dancer, choreographer, director, writer, and comedian. All to say, I love theater, TV, and laughing with my friends. I'm currently a student at Yale University. By May 2026, I'll have graduated with degrees in Theater, Dance, & Performance Studies and Economics; by May 2027, I'll have earned a Master's degree in Public Health. And by May 2028, I hope to have a bright future ahead of me (and probably the classic 24-year-old urge to run a marathon).

Now, if you're a visual learner (as we've all shamelessly claimed when we "preferred" the Harry Potter movies to the books) or just curious, please take a look around!

Stay a while!

"Neal shines as Faye, a veteran of the plant approaching her 30th year of work. At first, she appears to be an almost omnipotent figure, suggested by her line, “I’m in the chipped paint.” But Neal’s nuanced approach slowly suggests weaknesses in her confident facade, revealing a woman weighed down by grief.... In one particularly moving scene on Thursday night, Faye’s ever-solid voice wavered and cracked. That choice, and other subtle ones like it, make Neal’s portrayal deeply moving and real. “I’m running on soul right now,” Faye says towards the end of the play. Neal’s performance certainly does justice to Faye’s soul; she is a worthy anchor around which the other characters spin."

"Choreographers Katia George ’25 and Amara Neal ’26 utilize every inch of the space, successfully creating a lively atmosphere through song and dance. Whether in a fun or violent manner, the vivacity with which actors dance and sing immerses viewers in the story."
